This Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement explains how Hong Kong Ski Training Limited trading as Ski Tech (“Ski Tech”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal data when you use our app, website, booking system, studio services, classes, memberships, events and related communications. 

By using our app or providing your personal data to us, you acknowledge that your personal data will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not intend to store full credit card numbers or full card security codes directly. Card payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, currently [insert provider], subject to that provider’s own terms, privacy policy and security standards.

Where you have given consent, we may collect and use photos or videos of you or your child for coaching, training, safety, social media, marketing or promotional purposes. 


Coaching videos and marketing content may be treated separately. You may choose not to provide marketing consent.

3. Direct marketing

HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?

We may use your name, contact details, booking history, membership information and stated interests to send you updates about Ski Tech services, memberships, events, Junior Academy, promotions, offers and related activities. 


We will only use your personal data for direct marketing where permitted by law and where we have obtained your consent or indication of no objection where required.

5. Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers, app systems, cloud servers, payment processors or communication tools may process or store personal data outside Hong Kong. 

Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place and that personal data is handled in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements. 

6. Personal data of minors

We may disclose or transfer personal data to the following parties where reasonably necessary for the purposes set out above:

For clients under 18, we may collect personal data from a parent or legal guardian, including the child’s name, age, emergency information, training history, Junior Academy level, attendance, coach notes and progression records. 

Separate consent may be requested for photography, video, marketing use and Junior Academy participation.

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for a minor’s participation in relevant Ski Tech activities and for the collection and use of the minor’s personal data. 

7. Health and safety information 

Ski Tech may collect health, injury, emergency and safety information to assess whether participation in our activities is appropriate and to manage risk during classes or independent access.

You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date health and injury information. If you do not provide required safety information, we may be unable to provide certain services or may restrict participation for safety reasons. 

8. Photos, videos and coaching recordings (We may use photos and videos for different purposes:)

Coaching and safety 

We may record or review video to support coaching, technique feedback, staff training, safety review or incident assessment. 

Marketing and promotional use 

We will seek consent before using identifiable photos or videos of you or your child for marketing, social media or promotional purposes.


You may withdraw future marketing consent by contacting us. Withdrawal will not affect uses already made before we received and processed your request. 

9. Retention of personal data

We will retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including for service delivery, account management, legal, accounting, insurance, dispute-resolution and regulatory purposes. 

When personal data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it. 

Different categories of personal data may be retained for different periods. For example: 

Account and booking records may be retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards. 


Payment and transaction records may be retained for accounting, tax and audit purposes. 
 
Waiver, incident, health and safety records may be retained for risk-management, insurance and legal purposes. 

 Marketing preference records may be retained to ensure we respect your opt-out request. 

10. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use. 

No app, website, payment system or electronic transmission is completely secure. You should keep your login details confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

These measures may include access controls, password protection, system permissions, staff training, secure payment processing, data minimisation and limiting access to staff or service providers who need the information for legitimate business purposes. 

11. Accuracy and updating personal data

We rely on you to provide accurate and up-to-date information.


Please notify us if your contact details, emergency contact, health information, injury status, child information or payment details change.  

12. Access and correction rights 

You may request access to or correction of your personal data held by us, subject to applicable legal requirements.

13. Consequences of not providing personal data 

Coaching and safety 

Providing certain personal data is necessary for us to operate your account, process payments, manage bookings, assess safety, provide classes, handle emergencies and deliver our services. 

If you do not provide required information, we may be unable to: 

create or maintain your account; 

process your booking or payment; 
allow participation in certain classes or activities; 
provide Junior Academy participation; 
provide Open Gym or Free Ride access; 
contact you about schedule or safety matters; 
or respond properly in an emergency. 

Providing personal data for marketing purposes is optional. 

14. Cookies and app analytics 

Our app or website may use cookies, analytics tools or similar technologies to improve functionality, understand usage, maintain security and enhance user experience. 

You may be able to adjust cookie or tracking settings through your browser or device. Some features may not function properly if certain cookies or permissions are disabled. 

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. 
The latest version will be made available through our app, website or other appropriate channels. If we make material changes, we may notify you by app notice, email, WhatsApp or other reasonable means. 

Your continued use of our app or services after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect will be treated as your acknowledgement of the updated terms.
